Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported. Kids' Harbor is a nonprofit Child Advocacy Center based in Osage Beach, Missouri, dedicated to helping children who have experienced abuse and supporting families through some of life's most difficult moments.

Since 2001, Kids' Harbor has been providing a safe, child-friendly environment where children can receive compassionate care, share their experiences, and begin the healing process.

A Safe Place for Children to Be Heard

For a child experiencing abuse, speaking up can be incredibly difficult. Kids' Harbor works to make that process less frightening by bringing trained professionals and support services together in one welcoming environment.

The organization provides free services for children from birth through age 18 who are referred by law enforcement, Missouri Children's Division, or juvenile authorities.

Services include:

Child-friendly forensic interviews

Forensic medical examinations

Trauma-informed mental health counseling

Child and family advocacy

Crisis intervention and emotional support

Assistance navigating investigations and court proceedings

Education and child abuse prevention programs

By coordinating these services, Kids' Harbor helps reduce additional trauma while making sure children and their safe caregivers have access to the support they need.

Healing Doesn't Happen Alone

Kids' Harbor understands that child abuse affects entire families. That's why its mission goes beyond helping children through an investigation.

Through counseling, advocacy, and ongoing resources, the organization supports children and their safe caregivers as they work toward healing and stability.

Kids' Harbor also partners with law enforcement, child protective services, medical professionals, and other agencies to provide a coordinated response that puts the child's well-being first.

Helping Prevent Child Abuse Before It Happens

Protecting children also means educating the community. Kids' Harbor provides prevention education for parents, schools, organizations, and community members to help people recognize warning signs, respond appropriately, and create safer environments for children.

The organization serves 10 Missouri counties, including Camden, Miller, Morgan, and surrounding communities, with locations in Osage Beach and St. Robert.
