Everyone deserves to feel safe. Citizens Against Domestic Violence (CADV), also known as CADV/VOC, is a Camdenton-based nonprofit dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking throughout the Lake of the Ozarks area.
Since 1984, CADV has provided a lifeline for individuals and families facing some of life's most difficult circumstances, offering confidential support, safety resources, and a path toward healing.
A Safe Place to Turn
Taking the first step toward getting help isn't always easy. CADV provides free, confidential services for survivors, helping them understand their options and make decisions about their safety and future.
Support services include:
24-hour crisis hotline
Emergency shelter and safe housing resources
Crisis intervention and safety planning
Legal and court advocacy
Hospital advocacy
Support groups and counseling referrals
Assistance with crime victim compensation
Ongoing support and community resources
Whether someone needs immediate assistance or guidance through the next steps, CADV is there to listen, provide resources, and help them move forward.
Helping Survivors Rebuild Their Lives
CADV's mission goes beyond providing immediate shelter. The organization helps survivors work toward long-term safety, independence, and stability.
Through advocacy, education, and continued support, CADV helps individuals and families access resources and begin rebuilding their lives.
Serving Camden, Miller, Morgan, and Benton counties, the organization supports women, men, and children affected by abuse and exploitation.
A Community That Makes a Difference
For more than 40 years, CADV has relied on the generosity and involvement of the Lake of the Ozarks community to continue its mission.
There are several ways to make a difference, including volunteering, donating, participating in fundraisers, and helping raise awareness about domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Volunteers assist with everything from community outreach and administrative tasks to transportation, advocacy, and crisis support. Every contribution helps CADV continue providing important services to local survivors.
You Can Help Bring Hope to Someone's Life
Whether you're seeking help for yourself, supporting someone you care about, or looking for a meaningful way to give back, CADV provides an important resource for the Lake of the Ozarks community.
Together, we can help create a community where survivors have access to safety, support, and the opportunity for a better future.

Tysm CADV helped me get away from my mean abusive husband. I have worked so hard for 3 years to get my life together, and I finally found a place to live for me and my kids. Thank you CADV we are so happy in our home. I woke up crying tears of joy!
